The Whisky Cellar Competition

Be it for one of our Tweet Tastings or monthly bottle competitions, we love nothing more than being able to share and giveaway some of our favourite drops of dramspankage. Talking of which for November we're delighted to announce that we’re teaming up with our friends at The Whisky Cellar, to giveaway a bottle of Benriach 22 Year Old, from their recently launched Private Cellars Selection.

The Whisky Cellar Private Cellars Selection Benriach 22 Year Old (57.1% ABV) is a single cask, single malt Scotch whisky, which was initially matured in an American oak ex-bourbon barrel, before being transferred and matured for four years in a golden rum cask.

The Whisky Cellar Private Cellars Selection, is designed to offer a broader range of casks to a wider audience including whiskies and, possibly in the future, other premium dark spirits from around the world.

Each of the ten casks in the first batch of releases, are comprised of a mixture of barrels, hogsheads, butts and a quarter cask, which were carefully selected by an expert panel of assessors, headed by company founder Keith Bonnington.

In addition to the Benriach, the first batch of releases in the Private Cellars Selection is comprised of bottlings from Ardmore, Cameronbridge, Glen Moray, Glenallachie, Invergordon, Royal Brackla and Teaninich distilleries.

Continuing our sensory story led, teeming throng of industry leading Twitter trending Tweet Tastings, we’re delighted to announce that as part of their recently announced relaunch, on November 25th we’ll be teaming up with our friends at The Glenturret, for an evening filled with a wealth of their whisky wares.

On the night, we’ll be pouring and exploring The Glenturret’s dramspankingly new Triple Wood, 10 Years Old and 12 Years Old expressions, all of which were created by their Whisky Maker Bob Dalgarno.

Continuing our teeming throng of industry leading, Twitter trending, Tweet Tastings (the original virtual tastings) we’re thrilled to announce that on November 11th, we’ll be pouring and exploring a wave of liquid americana wares, from our good friends at the Kentucky based Lux Row Distillers.

In addition to a trio of Ezra Brooks bottlings; Old Ezra, Ezra Straight Rye and Ezra Black Label, we’ll also be sharing, sipping and savouring the latest sensory story from Rebel, in the form of their Cognac Cask Finish Bourbon.

Rampur Asava Competition

As part of its UK launch, we’re absolutely thrilled to be teaming up with our friends at Rampur, to giveaway a bottle of their dramspankingly new Indian wine cask finished whisky; Asava.

Rampur Asava, is an Indian single malt whisky, which was initially matured in American bourbon barrels, before being finished in Indian Cabernet Sauvignon casks.

This latest release from the distillery located in the foothills of the Himalayas, now joins the brands growing portfolio, which includes Rampur Select, Rampur Double Cask, Rampur Sherry PX and Rampur Signature Reserve bottlings.
