Wine and Ruby Port Cask Finish.
This latest limited-edition Small
Batch Series bottling, is a single malt Scotch whisky, which has been produced
by marrying together their Virgin American white oak matured peated whisky -
finished in Bordeaux red wine casks, and their triple distilled first fill
ex-Bourbon cask matured whisky – finished in ruby port casks.
The new Glasgow 1770 Red Wine and
Ruby Port Cask Finish, is the first from the distillery to feature two spirit
styles that have undergone two maturation styles, and is said to deliver notes
of red berries and dark fruits on the nose, followed by notes of toasted
almonds, tobacco leaf and pink peppercorns on the palate.
