Quick Fire Whisky Tasting Notes #17

W L Weller 12 Year Old

Nose: Vanilla, oak, wood spice, furniture polish, toasted oats, wholemeal bread dough, butterscotch sauce, raisins, sultanas, dried cranberries, oven ripened avocados, orange peel, Whittard dark chocolate covered coffee beans, sugared almonds, crème brûlée, warm treacle tart, cinnamon, mase, coriander, spearmint, L’Occitane Rose 4 Reines bath & shower gel and the slightest whiff-ette of Deep Heat pain relief spray.

Palate: Cold Ambrosia Devon custard, oak, wood spice, nutmeg, blackberries, tayberries, raspberries, Jamaican fruit bun loaf, warm baklava, cinnamon infused honey, Tiptree quince jelly, freshly chopped parsley, sugared fennel fronds and all the assorted chocolate contents from a bag of Revels.

Finish: An opulent oaked, spiced and sweet 'glad you’re sticking around for a while' kind of a finish.

Summary: Yet another dramspankingly delicious drop of phenomenally priced Liquid Americana. Now widely available in the UK through specialist retailers, so fill your boots!
