Quick Fire Whisky Tasting Notes #3

Bulleit Bourbon 10 Year Old

Nose: Plums, red apples, orange peel, tinned peaches, sultanas, a jar of Luxardo cherries, Benylin cough syrup, toasted oak, Oreo cookies, cinnamon, cloves, demerera sugar, vibrantly fresh whiff-etts of vanilla and something decisively grassy and grain-esque.

Palate: Clove studded navel oranges, dried prunes, cherry cough drops, Dentyne cinnamon chewing gum, wood spice, a lick of liquorice, vanilla bon bons and a big generous slice of Delia Smith’s Creole Christmas cake.

Finish: Spicy, rich and lusciously long.

Summary: A great gutsy addition to the standard bottling. Not just for cocktails!
